An absolute is something fixed, universal, and unchanging—regardless of time, place, or perspective.
In a world that shifts with culture, emotions, and opinions, absolutes stand firm. No matter what you are facing—emotional struggles, addictions, mental challenges, relationship issues, or financial hardships—there is hope.
Freedom and stability can be found by embracing what I call the Absolutes.
When you give your life to Christ, everything changes. You are no longer bound by curses or condemnation—you are now a child of the King. Your privileges in Him are secure.
Watch the sermon series: “The Finished Work of Christ – I Have the Right to Be Here.”
God’s Word is the manual for life, guiding us in truth and wisdom.
It’s not enough to know Scripture; you must believe it, trust it, and stake your life on it.
Freedom comes when knowledge becomes action. Put the Word into practice, and watch it transform your life.
Watch the Overcame Series sermon: “The Sword of the Spirit – Sharpen Your Sword and Use It.”
These Absolutes are embedded within God’s Word:
2 Peter 1:1–4 (NLT)
This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ.
I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
By His divine power (Greek: dunamis – “dynamite”), God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.
And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
“Grace is the empowerment on my life to give me the ability to go beyond my natural ability.” – John Bevere
Truth is that which corresponds to reality and aligns with what is. God’s truth is eternal, and it has the power to set you free.
Your struggles—every one of them—have already been defeated by Jesus.
John 16:33 – “…in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Hebrews 4:15 reminds us that Jesus understands our weaknesses yet was without sin.
Freedom begins with humility.
James 4:10 – “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
When you humble yourself, chains are broken—chains of emotional pain, addiction, mental struggles, lust, and more.
Repentance means a complete change of direction.
1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Repentance is more than saying sorry—it’s turning from sin and turning to God.
Benefits of Repentance: forgiveness, a restored spirit, healing, restoration, joy, and eternal life.
Often the greatest battles are internal. Three common heart struggles must be faced:
Unhealed Hurts: Past wounds from betrayal, rejection, abuse, or loss that keep reopening when triggered.
Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Unmet Needs: Legitimate emotional, relational, physical, or spiritual needs left unfulfilled.
Philippians 4:19 – “My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory.”
Psalm 68:5 – “Father to the fatherless and defender of widows…”
Unresolved Issues: Conflicts and struggles never addressed, like debts collecting interest in the form of bitterness.
Hebrews 12:15 warns against allowing a bitter root to grow and defile many.
Sometimes these issues require the support of biblical counseling—a safe place to process and apply God’s truth.
On your own, you cannot overcome life’s struggles. But through knowing, believing, and applying God’s Word, you can walk in true freedom.
Jesus has already conquered, and His promises are your foundation. Don’t settle for living in chains. Embrace the absolutes of God’s Word, and step into the life He designed you to live—whole, healed, and free.
